Victoria University-Kampala Enters Nigeria, Offers Quality Education, Banks on Entebbe-Abuja Connectivity

Victoria University-Kampala (VU), based in Kampala, Uganda has officially marked its entry into Nigeria’s education landscape with a high-profile delegation visit to Abuja. The visit to Abuja by VU’s senior officials—Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Professor Augustine Ifelebuegu, University Secretary Mrs. Katusabe Ssemwezi, and Marketing Manager Mr. Conan Daniel—was a historic milestone in the university’s expansion efforts. The delegation was part of Uganda’s official contingent aboard the inaugural Uganda Airlines Airbus A330 flight, a direct route connecting Entebbe International Airport to Abuja. This 3-hour and 45-minute journey, inaugurated on September 12, 2024, is poised to significantly boost collaboration between Uganda and Nigeria, especially in the field of higher education.
The timing of the delegation’s visit coincided with the Uganda-Nigeria Business Forum, held on September 13, 2024. During this event, the Victoria University team underscored the institution’s mission to become the foremost educational destination for Nigerian students, offering programs that combine academic theory with practical work experience.
