GAACI 2023: Grassroots Africa Awards to Recognise Personalities Supporting African Communities on the 23rd December, 2023

The 5th edition of the Grassroots Africa Awards and Conference International (GACCI 2023) is set to take place on the 23rd December, 2023 virtually.
The event aims at recogninising Africans and African Diasporans supporting their various communities in their own little ways within their chosen area of endeavours.
This year’s theme is “Activating The General Well-being of African Communities” which is in tardem with the AU 2063 Agenda and UNSDGs.
“Starting from Accra, Ghana, in 2019, we thought it wise on our side at Kalo Africa Media to recognise our unsung heroes especially at our local communities. Ever since, we never relented, even during the Covid-19 period, and this year we want to go virtual to honour many of our African Champions doing us great”, said Kazeem Balogun, the Project Cordinator and Founder.

One of this year’s recipients is Hon. Cuthbert Ncube, President, African Tourism Board who has impacted various African communities by identifying with them whenever he goes on a mission, he will be recognized based on his special interests from the tourism perspective.

Others are Mrs. Torio James Fadumila, an African Diasporan who has invested so much in African communities in Nigeria and Ghana through agriculture, also Mr. Brahim El Mazned, the founder of Visa For Music who conceived an idea to allow upcoming musicians from different African communities to showcase their talents free of charge on a bigger stage in Rabat, Morocco.
These personalities and many more will be recognized at the ceremony on the 23rd December from 12:00 pm – 2: 00 pm.
One of the raison detre by the organiser is to also provide a platform to these individuals to tell their stories to the world about what and how they have impacted their various communities.
