Representing a diverse range of voices, ECOSOCC is pivotal in bridging the gap between African citizens and continental governance structures.

The Council’s primary objectives include promoting participatory governance, enhancing the role of CSOs in decision-making, and fostering sustainable development across the continent.

A Milestone for Unity

The unanimous election of the new Bureau reflects the growing alignment among member states in prioritizing a cohesive approach to addressing Africa’s socio-economic and cultural challenges. This historic achievement also symbolizes the AU’s dedication to inclusivity, democracy, and collaboration, embodying the spirit of “African solutions to African problems.”

As ECOSOCC celebrates its 20th anniversary, this moment marks a significant step forward in strengthening civil society’s role in driving Africa’s integration and development.
