Seychellois tourism consultant Alain St.Ange is set to travel to the UK early next week to serve as a guest speaker within an exclusive tourism gathering at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford, on August 2nd and 3rd 2024.
Earlier this year, St.Ange was recognized for his contributions to the tourism industry and awarded a Doctorate for Sustainable Tourism. He continues to work internationally as a consultant with various tourism boards and ministries across Africa and the ASEAN bloc.
St.Ange is also a sought-after speaker at tourism fora and conferences worldwide, and his illustrious career includes serving as the Minister of Tourism and Culture under President James Michel, and later as the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports, and Marine during President Danny Faure’s administration. His journey into public service was championed by the private sector through the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association (SHTA) under the chairmanship of Louis D’Offay. Initially entering the Tourism Board as Director of Marketing in 2009, he rose to become the CEO Director of Tourism and eventually a minister.
This upcoming event in Oxford highlights St.Ange’s ongoing influence and expertise in the global tourism sector.
