African Tourism Board to Reward Miss Tourism Africa Winners, Runners up with Ambassadorial Honours

The African Tourism Board (ATB) has announced a major recognition for the winners and runners-up of the recently concluded Miss and Mister Tourism Africa pageants. The Vice President of the Board, Hon. Dine Bouraima, confirmed that the victors of both pageants will be honored with Global Ambassador and Ambassadorial titles, in recognition of their hard work, perseverance, and eventual success.

The grand finale of Miss Tourism Africa took place at the prestigious Landmark Event Center in Lagos, Nigeria, where Ndinelago Kalikoka Emosho from Namibia emerged as the crowned Miss Tourism Africa 2024 while Fabian Arinze Ugboma of Nigeria emerged as the Winner of Mister Africa Tourism 2024 respectively.

The pageant celebrated not only beauty but also dedication to promoting Africa’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential. Both the Miss and Mister Tourism Africa pageants are aimed at showcasing Africa’s diversity and the continent’s vast tourism opportunities.

Hon. Bouraima emphasized the importance of this gesture in encouraging young African stars who contribute to the continent’s tourism growth. He stated, “On behalf of the Board and members of the African Tourism Board, we are going to honour all the winners and runners-up with Global Ambassador and Ambassador roles for their commitment, perseverance, and victory. We hope to present them with their certificates at another ceremony in Lagos, in front of the world. This is part of our statutory responsibility to recognize and encourage individuals doing Africa proud in our sector.”
