Africa Celebrates, a major Pan-African event, is set to hold a highly anticipated World Press Conference at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on September 19th at 10 a.m. This press event will see the attendance of both local and international media, as well as notable partners and dignitaries.

The African Union (AU) and UNECA, serving as host partners for Africa Celebrates, will be joined by the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassies of Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria, along with the U.S. Delegation to the AU. Among the special guests is Hon. Rizik Hassan, Minister of Tourism for South Sudan, who will be delivering key remarks at the event.

Africa Celebrates is designed to foster unity across the continent through economic, social, and cultural integration. It highlights Africa’s diversity and rich cultural heritage while promoting trade, investment, science, and technology as vital drivers of economic growth. By celebrating Africa’s arts, culture, and heritage, the event serves as a platform for showcasing the continent’s potential in achieving prosperity through collaboration.

The previous edition of Africa Celebrates saw participation from 38 African countries, alongside representatives from 11 countries in the diaspora, further underscoring the event’s importance in strengthening Africa’s global presence.
