AFRAA Meets UN ECA on Better Skies for Africa

In a strategic move to better improve the African Aviation in the relations to seamless connectivity, with the ultimate objective of beneffing Africa’s travelling class, the leadership of African Airlines Association (AFRAA) had a significant, impactful and a successful tete-a tete with the leadership of the new United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
The meeting took place in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia which houses the most coveted airline in Africa, the Ethiopian Airlines.
“The meeting discussed ways to support the aviation sector with effective change-making decisions“, Abdramane said.
Mr. Berthe Abdramane, the Executive President African Airlines Association with Mr. Claver Gatete, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) at the meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The meeting had in attendance major aviation players across the continent which showed how significant and more importantly the readiness of major stakeholders in changing the narrative to an interesting trends by the sector’s African experts in collaboration with the global UN Commission on Africa.
Also in attendance were Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Bekele; AFCAC CAFAC Secretary General, Ms. Adefunke Adeyemi; former Ethiopian Airlines CEO & Chairman, Mr Girma Wake and Eng. Eric Ntagengerwa, Senior Policy Officer Air Transport at the African Union Commission.
